Northridge (AL) High wide receiver prospect James Cox made a verbal commitment to Southern Miss in late July after a weekend visit to the Hattiesburg campus. When news came down that former head coach Ellis Johnson wouldn't be retained retained Cox was one of the most troubled with the decision.
