The Capstone State has long been fertile recruiting grounds for Southern Miss and this year looks to be no different. The Eagles are targeting a number of the states' best players this year are are recruiting the state as hard as in any time in recent memory. It looks like their efforts are paying off as Jefferson Davis (Montgomery) HS defensive back William Spight becomes their first commitment from Alabama this year.
