Anderson pledges Southern Miss

On Thursday night Suwannee (Live Oak, FL) High standout quarterback Steven Anderson made his commitment to Southern Miss.

The talented 6-foot-3, 235-pounder had been a long term commitment to Georgia Southern.

Anderson committed to Georgia Southern in June of 2016, and had remained solid with that commitment until today when he flipped from the Eagles to the Golden Eagles.

He confirmed his pledge to Southern Miss with BigGoldNation.com on Thursday evening.

"Yes, I am committed to Southern Miss," Anderson said.

Anderson announced that he had received an offer from Southern Miss on January 9th.

Southern Miss offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Shannon Dawson served as the lead recruiter for Anderson.

Anderson cited Dawson as one of his main reasons for flipping his commitment.

"Well I really liked Coach Dawson and I feel I fit in pretty good with what they do on offense so it was not that hard of a decision," he said.
