Calhoun talks recruiting

Restoration Academy (Fairfield, Ala.) offensive line prospect Deion Calhoun is coming off a stellar junior year in which he helped his squad to a AISAA Class A State Championship.
The small school star has recently began to turn the heads of various recruiters from across the South. He has picked up offers several FCS programs and has recently picked up an offer from UAB. Cincinnati, MTSU and Troy have also shown strong interest. But, the program that could be the next to offer is Southern Miss.

Calhoun is building a strong relationship with his recruiting coach for the Eagles.
"I have talked with Coach Wozniak every other day," Calhoun said. "I've even talked with him on Facebook."
Southern Miss outsider receivers coach John Wozniak is responsible for recruiting the northern part of Alabama for the Golden Eagles.
At 6-foot-4, 290-pounds he's a prototypical lineman and being a small school prospect he's called on to anchor both sides of Restoration's line.
"I'm very physical on both sides of the football, and I'm quick on my feet," Calhoun said. "I'm also good with my hands."
Most schools have him on their lists as an offensive lineman, but a couple have floated the idea of playing defense.
"If I had to rank my top choices I would put Florida as my number one choice," Calhoun said. "Southern Miss would be my second choice, and Middle Tennessee is my third choice."
Calhoun plans to attend the Golden Eagle camp in Birmingham on June 14th.
