First Team
Jaylen Smith
Senior
WR
Pascagoula
Schools: Louisville Commit
NFL comparison: Randy Moss
Smith is the real deal. One word for this kid is SPEED. The ground he can eat up in his vertical routes can break a defense. He has that big play mentality and instinct as of a Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan in basketball. I watched this kid dominate games last year and I am looking forward to watching him this year. His NFL comparison is Randy Moss.
Jauan Collins
Senior
Pascagoula
DT
Schools: Southern Miss Commit
NFL Comparison: Johnathan Babineaux
Congrats to Jauan Collins. This kid is problem for every offensive line Pascagoula will play this year. He is the perfect size to me and he is too small to get your hands on him but he is also strong enough to move the line of scrimmage. He has very light feet only DT that wear speed TD cleats. Jauan was Region 4 5-A defensive player of the year last year. I see him accomplishing that goal again. His NFL comparison is Johnathan Babineaux.
Tyler Polk
Junior
St. Martin
Athlete
Schools: Southern Miss Offer
NFL Comparison: Denard Robinson
Congrats Tyler Polk. He is one of the most athletic athletes in the state of Mississippi. Polk can play Quarterback, Running back, Wide Receiver and Defensive Back. He can see the field better than most high school players. Polk is mostly known for his famous cutbacks and making defenders miss. Polk's NFL comparison is Denard Robinson.
Keith Joseph Jr.
Senior
DE
Pascagoula
Schools: Mississippi State Commit
NFL Comparison: Osi Umenyiora.
This kid is special and has a natural jump like his father Keith Joseph Sr. He has nice size plays hard and fast. If Joseph stays healthy he will play in the NFL one day. Mississippi State is getting something special. NFL comparison is Osi Umenyiora.
Walter Williams
Senior
Vancleave
RB/SS
Schools: Louisiana Lafayette commit
NFL Comparison: Montee Ball
Williams is one of the best-looking football players on the coast standing at a solid 6-foot-0, 195-pounds. He can play RB or Safety. He will run you over, then come down and hit you in the mouth. Williams NFL comparison is Montee Ball.
Isaiah Swopes
Senior
Ocean Springs
Athlete
Schools: Memphis, South Alabama, Tulane
NFL Comparison: Brent Grimes
Swopes is one of the most athletic and explosive players on the coast. Though his lack of size has slowed his recruiting process down. His athletic ability makes up for it. His NFL comparison is Brent Grimes.
Jonathan Nance
Senior
Gulfport
WR
Schools: Southern Miss Commit
NFL Comparison:
Nance is a great WR. Even though he is committed to USM as an Athlete. I still believe his future is with the offensive side of the ball. In my opinion, he is the best route runner on the coast this year. His NFL comparison is Michael Crabtree.
Jaquelle Green
Junior
Diberville
DB
Schools: LSU Commit (soft)
NFL Comparison: ED Reed
I was very impressed with this youngster who is committed to LSU. He is big, fast and has great ball skills. He can read the Quarterback well and also has a knack for being around the ball. His NFL comparison is ED Reed.
Reginald Hunter
Sophomore
RB
Pascagoula
Schools: Sophomore
NFL Comparison: Adrian Peterson
Reginald Hunter is one of the underclassmen on my list. He is the son of former stand out Mico Hunter. Hunter has all the tools to play in the SEC. He runs down hill well, hits the hole hard, and also has distance speed. Started last year as a freshmen and averaged six yards a carry. His frame of 6-feet-0, 200-pounds makes it difficult for defenses to get him down. He has a high and physical running style like Adrian Peterson.
Richaud Floyd
Senior
Gulfport
Athlete
School: Missouri Commit
NFL Comparison: Percy Harvin
Floyd is one of the fastest high school players on the coast this year. I watched this kid make angles look simple to beat. He has great ball skills, quarterback instincts and arm. Floyd is being recruited as a DB. He was one of the more difficult players to compare to a NFL player. From watching his film he remind me of a Percy Harvin in high school.
Jordan Bradford
Senior
St. Stanislaus
OL/DL
Schools: Offers from Southern Miss, ULL, South Alabama, La Tech, Ark. State
NFL Comparison: Mike Pouncey
The best two offensive linemen on the coast play on the same team at St. Stanislaus. Bradford will most likely carry his team deep into the playoffs this season. With a ton of offers on the table, the physical lineman will have a great senior season.
Ryan Gibson
Senior
St. Stanislaus
OL
Schools: University of California Commit
NFL Comparison: Jake Matthews
Gibson is the other lineman from St. Stanislaus. He has over 8-10 FBS offers. He is quick for a big man, and has great blocking skills. Ryan is already committed to University of California.
Darius Kennedy
Senior
Resurrection
WR
Schools: N/A
NFL Comparison: Hakeem Nicks
Kennedy is a sleeper that will make a team very happy. Standing at 6-foot-3, 195-pounds, he has great route running ability. His frame can't be missed by his quarterback. He is a kid that wears his uniform well. In uniform he looks 6-foot-5. If Kennedy was at a big high school he would easily have multiple offers.
Second Team
Tyler Jack
Senior
George County
Athlete
Schools: N/A
NFL Comparison: Devin Hester
Jack is one of my favorite players to watch. He is explosive and is faster than his opponents thinks. He plays hard, fast and loves to compete. His NFL comparison is Devin Hester.
Jamal Lydie
Senior
St. Martin
OLB/SS
Schools: ULL, Mississippi State
NFL Comparison: Dashon Goldson
Congrats to Jamal Lydie. I liked his physicality. He plays physical, hard and fast. He will play SS or FS in college. If he does not get a big time offer, he is a guy that should go to a junior college and watch his offers go up. He has the size and speed to play in the NFL one day. NFL comparison is Dashon Goldson.
Keshun Wells
Senior
Moss Point
RB/KR
Schools: West Virginia
NFL Comparison: Trindon Holliday
Wells can score at any time. He is another great athlete on the coast. He has great body control and lower body strength along with great balance. His NFL comparison is Trindon Holliday.
Rod Moore
Senior
Diberville
DB
Schools: Louisiana Tech
NFL Comparison: Tyrann Mathieu
Rod Moore is a Tyrann Mathieu type of player. He is not the fastest in the 40, but is always around the football making plays. His film shows a football player that plays with heart and passion. I'll take that over talent any day.
Niecill McNair
Senior
St. Martin
WR
Schools: N/A
NFL Comparison: Percy Harvin
I really like what I see out of this young man. The first time seeing him was last week for their jamboree game. McNair was explosive and used in multiple positions. His NFL comparison is Percy Harvin.
Andrew Warren
Senior
Ocean Springs
RB
Schools: South Alabama
NFL Comparison: Ray Rice
Andrew Warren was not on my team until I went to the Ocean Springs midnight scrimmage. Warren showed me a step and physicality he did not have last year. Last year he took a beaten at times. This year really see him bringing some blows to some linebackers. His NFL comparison is Ray Rice.
Marcus Buckley
Senior
Ocean Springs
WR
Schools: N/A
NFL Comparison: Lance Moore
Buckley pretty much lived with me this off-season. He runs great routes, has great hands and has a playmaker's instincts. He is another athlete that is at a greater step this season and I'm prepared to watch him dominate games this year. Great NFL comparison is Lance Moore.
Jacques Turner
Junior
Diberville
DE/LB
Schools: N/A
NFL Comparison: Greg Hardy
Turner is huge standing 6-foot-2 and weighing over 240-pounds. He plays hard, fast and physical. Turner will make the position of playing Quarterback tough for their opponents on game nights.
Barry Leonardi
Junior
Diberville
LB/DE
Schools: N/A
NFL Comparison: James Laurinaitis
Leonardi is a big physical defensive player. He can play multiple positions and can make solid tackles. Leonardi plays hard, fast and physical. He also makes the position of playing Quarterback tough. I like Leonardi and can't wait to see his career take off even more this season.
Kardarius Cross
Senior
Picayune
Athlete
Schools:N/A
NFL Comparison: Jamal Charles
I was so shocked with this athletes speed. He is not the biggest running back but he has the speed of a cheetah and heart of a lion. Cross has the ability to score over 15 TDs for the state champions of Picayune. His NFL comparison is Jamal Charles.
Will Inlow
Senior
Pascagoula
WR/TE/LB
Schools: Louisville, Southern Miss
NFL Comparison: Dallas Clark
Mr. Will Inlow another sleeper, Will is an athlete in a Linebacker frame. He can run routes with the wide receivers, block with the offensive line then carry the football in your backfield. These two will make someone college program very happy next year.
