Cox finds the perfect fit

When BGN caught up Northridge (AL) High pass catcher James Cox on Sunday night he was just home from what he termed an "awesome" visit to Southern Miss. Cox had previous been a long time commitment to the Golden Eagles who was in the process of reconsidering his situation after a coaching change in Hattiesburg.
But, the weekend visit seemed to put all those worries behind him and after sleeping on it for a night and talking things over with family he is back on board with the Eagles.

"Yes sir, I am," Cox commented when asked of the potential re-affirmation to the Eagles.
Just a little time to think things over was all he needed after a weekend with newly hired head coach Todd Monken and receivers coach John Wozniak.
"I just feel that it (Southern Miss) is the best place for me," he said. "Even better than before. The offense fits me perfectly, I love Coach Monken. I love what he's down with the offense."
He also spoke highly of the academic side of the equation being impressed with the Southern Miss College of Business and the Scianna Hall, the $30 million future home of the College of Business.
"The academics are a perfect fit," he said. "Everything is just awesome."
"The fans and my team-mates, they love me down there," he continued.
At this point Cox dosen't plan to take any other official visits.
