Fedora releases statement

In a prepared statement to BigGoldNation.com, Southern Miss head coach Larry Fedora released the following concerning the arrests made at the apartments on 38th Ave. where many Southern Miss players live.
"I have been made aware of the situation and am gathering all the facts. After all the facts are in, I then will make my decision pending the legal process on any action that I feel appropriate," Fedora said.

Star running back Damion Fletcher was arrested for discharging a firearm within the city limits and back-up offensive lineman Brennan Houston was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Both have posted bail.
Southern Miss Director of Athletics Richard Giannini also weighted in on the issue.
"We take this incident seriously and are thoroughly investigating the issue. We will take the necessary disciplinary action when the review is completed," Giannini said.
