Legendary Basketball Coach M.K. Turk passes away
Legendary Southern Miss head basketball coach M.K. Turk passed away on Friday morning in Hattiesburg.
Turk who had recently served as the color commentator for Southern Miss men's basketball remained active with the university after his retirement from coaching in 1996.

Turk served as the Eagles head coach from 1976-1996, he won 301 games including the an NIT Championship in 1987. He also lead the Eagles to a pair of NCAA Tournament births in 1990,91.
Turk was 71 years old.
