Davis' 32 yard toss to receiver Kelvin Bolden was also the fifth-longest play from scrimmage this season for Southern Miss. It was also the 25th time in the school-record holder's career to throw for more than 200 yards.
For the year, Davis has thrown for 991 yards on 89-of-150 (59.3 percent) with seven touchdown passes.
The Golden Eagles return to the field on Saturday, Oct. 1, to host C-USA West division foe Rice in their annual "BLACKOUT" game. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m.
