Watson leads Southern Miss to 79-75 road win

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Neil Watson hit each of his six 3-point attempts en route to a season-high 24 points to lift Southern Mississippi over Alabama-Birmingham 79-75 Saturday night for the Golden Eagles' 10th consecutive win.
Southern Miss (18-4, 7-0 Conference USA), which has won 12 of its last 13, shot a season-high 58.8 percent from 3-point range (10 of 17) while making 63.8 percent (30 of 47) from the floor.

Jerrold Brooks added 16 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, while Michael Craig had 16 points and a game-high nine rebounds as Southern Miss won the rebound battle 30-22. Dwayne Davis added 10 points.
UAB (9-13, 1-6) has dropped seven of its past eight games, and was swept in the season series with Southern Miss.
Jordan Swing led the Blazers with 17 points off the bench, and is averaging 19.3 points since being moved to the bench for his past four games.
