Eagles fall in Championship

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Senior guard Angelo Johnson paced the Eagles with 29 points, but it wasn't enough as the Eagles fell 90-81 to Murry State in the Championship Game of the Great Alaskan Shootout.
Biloxi native Isaiah Canaan scored a game high 36 points for the Racers, including 10 in over-time.

The undefeated Racers (7-0) built a 12-point half-time shooting 60 percent during the opening frame.
Southern Miss stormed back in the second half. Rashad McGill hit two free throws for the Eagles with :42 left in the game to draw even at 69.
The teams would combine for six total points in the first overtime period before the Racers rolled off 18 points in the second overtime frame to put the game away.
LaShay Page chipped in 16 points but was only 2 of 10 from behind the arch.
Maurice Bolden and Neil Watson each contributed 12-points.
Jonathan Mills pulled down eight rebounds for the Eagles.
The Eagles return to action on Dec. 4th when they host New Mexico State.
