Monken tabbed as So Miss Head Coach

News outlets in Oklahoma first broke the news that Oklahoma State offensive coordinator Todd Monken has been tabbed to take over the Southern Miss football program.
Monken takes over a program that was 0-12 under former coach Ellis Johnson who's stint in Hattiesburg lasted a single season. The Eagles are just a season removed from a 12-2 C-USA Championship campaign.

Prior to the past two season's he has spent at OSU, he was the wide receivers coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Before trying his hand in the NFL he served two seasons at LSU as their passing game coordinator. He made that move with Les Miles when Miles took the head coaching job with the Tigers.
Before joining Miles at OSU for his first stint in Stillwater he coached at Louisiana Tech and Eastern Michigan.
He is a native of Weaton, Illinois, he and wife Terri have one son - Travis.
