New Orleans sleeper picking up offers

They don't come much bigger than Cornelius Lucas. The 6-foot-8, 275-pounder from Edna Karr (New Orleans, Lou.) has began to see interest rise for his services. But, a coaching change at his favorite may have thrown him a curve.
"Recruiting is going alright" he said. "But, it could be better."

Lucas has recently picked up offers from South Alabama, ULM and Alabama State, but a coaching change has things up in the air.
"Kansas State offered and I was really leaning that way," he said. "But, with the coaching change up there I really don't know where I stand."
Lucas was offered by the previous Wildcat staff but with the changes in Manhattan he is unsure of where he stands at this point.
Sleeper prospects are still found in the Crescent City and Lucas fits the bill.
In addition to the programs that have offered a number of other programs are beginning to show some interest.
"Tulane, Southern (Miss), Louisiana Tech, UL-Lafayette," he said. "There were a lot of smaller schools."
When asked if he was interested in any other schools he had this to say.
"Well growing up here everyone wants to play at LSU," he said. "But, I don't think that's going to work out, maybe Georgia Tech."
