Robertson sets the record straight

Greenwood (MS) HS stand-out receiver Korey Robertson has been a hot topic in the recruiting world in Mississippi over the past few days, first because of his commitment to Southern Miss then because of reports that he was not committed to the Golden Eagles. In this exclusive interview he talks with BigGoldNation.com and sets the record straight.
For the average fan who follows recruiting it's often hard to understand the pressure that many prospects feel as they attempt to maneuver through the process. These young men are having more advice and opinions thrown their way that they have ever imagined and it often becomes overwhelming.

Conflicting reports over a potential prospects intentions are not uncommon and are certainly not new. That's what seems to have happened with Robertson over the past few days.
Robertson wanted to be clear with his intentions in this interview so there would be no misunderstandings.
"I'm going to Southern Miss," Robertson said. "I have had a lot of people telling me what I should do, but I'm going to do what's best for me and that's Southern Miss.
"I want everyone to know that I am going to Southern Miss and that's OFFICIAL," he continued.
Robertson took in a camp at Mississippi State over the weekend and has a camp and unofficial visit planned for Southern Miss later this summer.
"I have an unofficial visit to Southern Miss in July," he said. "I'm looking forward to it...
Robertson is being recruited by Southern Miss defensive backs coach Lytrel Pollard.
